Your Ultimate Spring Cleaning List

After a LONG but wonderful winter season we are all eager to get things fresh, clean and re-organized! We look forward to opening up the windows to enjoy the warm spring breeze filing our home. Windows, right they are probably needing a good cleaning, inside and out! Oh, that breeze is going to push around all that hidden dust that has been hiding during the winter months!

TIME FOR SPRING CLEANING! But where to start?? The list just keeps growing as you walk around your home...so much to do!

It can be very overwhelming and time consuming!

Use this LIST to narrow down the things you have probably been neglecting over the colder months.

1. KITCHEN CABINETS

While we love cooking up a good hardy meal spills and splashes all collect and go unseen on our kitchen cupboards. Using Lysol Disinfecting Wipes is a quick, easy and safe to use on cabinets. Don't forget the range hood!

2. DISHWASHER

If you look into the inner corners of your dishwasher where it hinges you will NOT like what you see! This is one of our most important and favorite appliances in the kitchen. It does the dirty work for us! Cleaning all the grime off all our dishes. It is only right to give it a good clean every once in a while. Try using Finish Dishwasher Cleaner! I used this about a month ago when I noticed my dishes were not coming out very clean. WOW! Does this ever work wonders! Do what your dishwasher does for you!

3. Windows (Inside and Out)

This task may seem tedious but I promise you it is extremely satisify and quick! A very simple cleaning makes a huge impact as you can SEE out your windows again! I always use Windex window cleaner for a streak free finish.

Tip: Use one side of your cloth to wash the window and a clean side to wipe off the residue. Do this for each area you clean.

4. Bedding

This is the perfect time to dry clean anything large and delicate. I take my duvet to the laundry mat because they have the extra large machines. Duvet inserts should be cleaned at least once a year if you have a cover on it. The same goes for mattress covers and pillow covers.

Downy Unstopables are my favorite for that long lasting fresh scent. While everything else is in the wash, give your mattress a good vaccuuming!

5. Tiles

Now is a great time to wipe down all your tile through our your home. With a warm damp microfiber cloth you can easily wipe down any splashes or dust that has gathered over the last few months.

6. Washer and Dryer

Oooooh wee this is one I love to clean! With a little vinegar and baking soda add it to a half filled machine of hot water. Let it sit for a few minutes than run as normal. For the dryer, use a clean microfiber cloth and wipe down the inside with warm water.

7. Oven and Microwave

After making all those yummy, home cooked meals over the holidays I will bet your oven could use a good cleaning. Spring is a great time to get down and dirty! It's not a fun job but by using Astonish Oven and Cook Top Cleaner $10.95 it will get those appliances sparkling in no time and little effort.

8. Clean Out Your Closet

Purge, Purge, Purge!

Get rid of anything you have not worn in a year or you just don't particularly like anymore! There are a number of charity drop boxes, as well as the Salvation Army, Good Will, Value Village and clothes swaps available to get rid of the unwanted items. You will naturally feel lighter and you can add new fresh items you love!

Set a side a short time each week in the month of April for each of these cleaning tasks and you will conquer your spring cleaning goals in time to enjoy the warm spring air!
